earlier today and just left a review on Amazon... It IS a Kindle book, but you don't have to use a Kindle to read it. You have several option: downloading a Kindle App for your computer or other device or reading it on the Amazon Cloud Reader.
However, any way you want to read it, this is a GREAT resource if you want to try your hand at making donuts from scratch.
In this case, the donuts are Polish and Kathy Gary offers a charming background on their history. She also lays out the process in detail, she tells exactly the tools needed and why, she gives tips to avoid common problems, and she even explains the time constraints of the process.
I have always held back from trying donuts from scratch, possibly because I have a vivid memory from childhood of my Mom and her best friend staying up all night making donuts from scratch. It was a hilarious Lucy and Ethel scenario, but left the kitchen a disaster zone and the two of them totally exhausted!
However, with Kathy's most excellent instructions, I am seriously reconsidering... now, where to find an Ethel? LOL
